Properties
Appearance    (1), white powder.
Solubility    soluble in water.
Stability    stable in weak alkali, weak acid and hard water; unstable in strong acid, strong alkali.

Synthesis
(1), Lauric acid monoethanolamide is obtained by amidation of lauric acid (or lauroyl chloride) and monoethanolamine;
(2), Dodecanoyl monoethanolamide sulfate is obtained by sulfation of lauric acid monoethanolamide and sulfur trioxide;
(3), Purify and obtain a white powdery solid, by neutrallzation of alkaline substances (such as: sodium hydroxide).
