guinea pig subcutaneous LDLo

800mg/kg[1]

mouse oral LD50

1134mg/kg[1]

rat oral LD50

1250mg/kg[1]

Ecology    may be hazardous to environment. Water body should be given special attention.

Biodegradability    biodegradable.

Characteristics    excellent permeating, wetting, dispersing, emulsifying abilities. When system contains a small amount of sodium chloride, can be significantly enhanced permeating abilities. Certain resistance to inorganic electrolytes.

Synthesis

Naphthalene, butanol and concentrated sulfuric acid react through the sulfonation condensation reaction, then sodium hydroxide or sodium carbonate neutralizes, finally obtain product.

Major Uses

1, Typical applications

Use as penetrating agent, wetting agent.

Use as emulsifying agent, dispersing agent.

2, Textile

Use as penetrating agent, wetting agent.

Widely used, but there are shortcomings that make textiles feel hard and dye bright decreases. Have been gradually replaced by other penetrating agent.

3, Rubber

Use as emulsifying agent, softening agent.

4, Paper

Use as wetting agent.

5, Agriculture

Synergist in pesticides, fertilizer.
