Stability    stable in weak alkali, weak acid, hard water. Under strong acid or strong alkali, easily hydrolyze.

(1), Esterification reaction

Maleic anhydride reacts with cocoamido MEA, obtain cocoamido MEA maleate.

(2), Sulfonation reaction

Cocoamido MEA maleate reacts with sodium bisulfite, then obtain this product.
