(1), Esterification reaction

Maleic anhydride reacts with cocamido MIPA PEG, obtain cocamido MIPA PEG maleate.

(2), Sulfonation reaction

Cocamido MIPA PEG maleate reacts with sodium bisulfite, then obtain this product.
